Wedge Navajo Blanket
A wedge Navajo blanket is an answer to the old question: how do you
put the same saddle on two different horses. First, you do wither
tracings for both horses. Then we fit your saddle to the widest horse,
and THEN we build a special blanket the front section of which houses a
tapered wedge of high density felt. On the wide horse, use a standard
pad. On the more narrow horse, use the wedge pad. By pulling the blanket
forward you can adjust its height. The more forward you pull it, the
smaller the lift. We build this in our regular fleece (as in sheep's
wool) lined Navajo. Various colors.

Pad with Detachable pockets
We build pure sheepskin saddle pads with DETACHABLE all leather
pockets, with easy twist-off closures. The pads are custom-fit to
particular length saddles. The leather pouches attach by buckles. The
leather pouches are 10" wide, 6 l/2" deep with a 2" gullet.

FELT LINED NUMNAH
For extra long rides -- or heavier riders -- we like
to line the pure sheepskin pad with 1/2" of pure wool felt. Works great.

Waffle Pad
The waffle pad is one of those rare man-made pads that actually works.
It is cool on the back of the horse, with holes that allow the pad to
breathe, and wick away sweat. Use as is for a short ride, or place under a
suitable blanket for a long ride. It measures 30" in length, and 33" in
width, with wear strip and cut-out for the withers. Black only.

Lined Waffle Pad
The waffle-lined felt pad has qualities in addition to those found
in "natural" pads. The waffle material is antibacterial, while supply
amazing GRIP between saddle and horse. The waffle also wicks away sweat
-- another factor that promotes grip. The pad comes standard with l/2"
of pure wool felt under a hard-wearing cover. For special situations,
the lining can be more thick. This pad is made exclusively for The
Australian Stock Saddle Company, and in a standard size is 32" X 32".

Custom Pads
We custom-make pads from pure Merino sheepskin shaped-to-fit any
Australian saddle. (We can also cut these pads to fit Western or English
saddles; please supply paper pattern. Per quote only.) For extra
protection, the NUMNAHS are lined with half-inch of pure wool
felt. Standard colors black or bone-white. Other colors are special
order. Price for Aussie saddles with felt lining is $199. Without
lining, price is $149
