Blocking a Holster

Our holsters are built on leather that is "blockable". That means the leather can be re-shaped to fit whatever it needs to carry. All our holsters are built for a tight fit, because that is how some people like them. Others like them loose, which can be achieved by blocking. But once a holster has been enlarged, it is very difficult to then make it smaller again. So be sure what fit you want before you start. At point of manufacture, the leather is not oiled, thus making the BLOCKING PROCESS POSSIBLE. After leather has been blocked, it can THEN be oiled. To BLOCK a holster first place it in warm water for 15 minutes. Then place the gun in a ziplock and FORCE it into the holster, by pressing against a solid surface. Then to make a maximum loose fit, place a couple of wooded spoons between the gun and the outer leather lip of the holster. Then let dry in the sun, or in some dry place for several hours.

Here is what looks like with a gun in the blocked holster

There is a $25 minimum on ALL internet orders.
